As for services in Vic, what helped me the most was respite in PARCs (prevention and recovery centres). Along with therapy at Spectrum in Richmond, I really turned the corner.

 

 Do you live anywhere near Richmond? If so, you may want to put a referral in. Whether you get it is a different matter because their intake is very limited. I traveled to Richmond each week for therapy. It took 4 hrs in total. To this day, I’m still surprised I got accepted into their therapy. Also, it’s free. My MBT sessions lasted 18 months, and in total I was with them for at 2-2.5 years. That includes thorough assessment and everything. Spectrum is a BPD specialist in Vic. I guess you never know whether you are the ‘lucky’ one to get accepted if you don’t put a referral in.
