Thanks for joining tonight, it was great to have you there! I know it can be really dark before appointments, I find that I still get things falling apart before the appointments. Know that you are doing great, joining this session was something that not everyone can do, but you did it none the same. 🙂
And struggling is something that is often different for each person, and I'm so glad you feel safe to share it here with us. There takes a lot of courage to do both those things.
ALSO what hobbies do you do? Getting busy, no matter what it is, cleaning, writing a checklist, all these things can help distract and ground you. ^^ And as Raven has said, keep us company. 😄

Hi @Sarah1988 ,
I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling. In terms of not feeling happy within yourself -- I understand in terms of struggles with our sense of self-worth and how disheartening it can be in comparison to others. Do you want to explain a bit more about what's influencing that -- are there specific ways in which you're judging yourself? I sometimes find it helpful to articulate those factors, and then understand why I might feel that way (e.g. societal focus on achievement and comparison), and then bring some compassion and kindness to that feeling (something that is really not easy but I've worked on it over time)
In terms of being isolated/ on your own -- is it specifically to do with family or romantic relationships, or friends as well? Are you looking to reconnect with others or meet new people?
Hang in there

that must feel frustrating, not being where you want to be in life @Sarah1988 sometimes we have an expectation of how things are going to go, and it can be really overwhelming when things don't work out. there will be highs and lows, and maybe right now feels like a low moment - but you know the best part... it means a high will be coming soon.
it's okay to feel upset, feel your feelings. but know that those feelings, such as pain, are temporary. here for you hun 💙

I've been single for most of my life too. Someone who is older and wiser told me singledom suits me as then I don't have someone else rocking my cot and don't have to have their belongings in my place which I currently share with my cat. Maybe what you are seeking is not for you, although who doesn't like the feeling of being loved up. Would you describe yourself as more solitary like a cat or a pack animal like a dog?
