@PeppyPatti People keep telling me I have a knack or gift for this. I'm not sure I see it, but one thing I keep saying to people is you need to trust people who are supporting you. Also the guy that leads my men's group told me last week that I need to learn to take compliments and thank people for them rather than brushing it off. So i'm going to follow that advice. So thank you for telling me that, it sincerely means a lot to me that you see that in me. I will continue to work on it, and myself, and do what I can to prove the people who saw this in me were right.

I see it! It's amazing! It makes me feel like all of those different, and sometimes conflicting thoughts in my head are trying to come together to form a clearer image of what I want to be. Have you posted others here?

Wow... that is a very 'murky' story. Its certainly a messy one. And yes, no one wins from it. But it does sound like there is some healing, especially with your sons which I really hope can continue to come back to you. As someone who only got to spend a total of about 4 hours with his mother, I wish I could talk to them and tell them not to waste too much more time without you. They will live to regret it. Your step mother must think a lot of you to do that for you in her will. That's no small inheritance she's offering.
Maybe that's the win we can get... finding someone to love us. It certainly goes a long way in trying to heal from the past. I think at times i focus so much on the bad things that have happened to me and the people who have hurt me, that I occasionally forget about the people who were there for me. It's not a big list but, that's what makes them so much more important to me. I'm really starting to see that now.
I used to speak in single words so I wouldn't worry too much about half sentences. What is it?.... 7% of what we communicate is through words apparently. If people don't think good things about us, then yep... who cares what they think.
