World Bipolar Day - 29th March 2022, 7:00-8:30pm AEDT
The 30th of March is World Bipolar Day, where we come together to celebrate, acknowledge and raise awareness of Bipolar Disorder. This year, we are joined by Bipolar Australia, sharing their knowledge through lived experience and research! Join us as we talk about living with and caring for loved ones with Bipolar Disorder, and the road of recovery.
Every Thursday night, join us for a peer facilitated live event, led by the SANE Peer Support team. This month's topics include managing anger, the pressure of perfectionism, and decoding pop psychology. Managing Anger - Thursday 3rd March 2022, 7:00-8:30pm
Navigating anger- More often than not, anger is a stigmatised emotion, which can bring up further complex feelings for us all. However, sometimes anger can serve as a small voice to remind us of areas we may be ignoring, or where our boundaries are being disrespected. Letβs come together to explore at what anger looks like, as well as healthy ways to navigate this experience.

Pressure of perfectionism- Perfectionism can seem like a positive quality in motivating us to be the best we can be. However, it can create a lot of pressure for us, and get in the way of doing things if weβre setting up unreasonably high standards for ourselves. Whether its learned, arisen from trauma, or developed in another way, perfectionism can have a negative impact on our mental health- let's talk about what we can do about it.
Decoding Pop Psychology - Thursday 17th March 2022, 7:00-8:30pm
Decoding pop psychology-The lines between psycho-education, self-help and psychology are becoming increasingly blurred, especially on social media. One can notice normal emotions being pathologized into disorders or trauma .Lets come together to detangle these jargons and simple claims and answers to decode complex human psyche..as well as explore the benefits of it!

Self harm awareness month: March is self harm awareness month, and we will be leading a discussion about distress tolerance and coping with big emotions
